Grimme and ASA-Lift strengthen cooperation

 As of January 1st of  2013, the Grimme group acquires a majority shareholding in the Danish vegetable technology specialist ASA-LIFT, founded in 1936. "The strategic partnership that was established a year ago has as we expected developed in a very positive manner. With this forwardlooking step we lastingly strengthen the site in the Danish town of Soroe and make use of the synergies for the development and international marketing of innovative vegetable technology. The internationally wellknown and strong brand ASA-LIFT will continue to exist", Franz Grimme and Laust Soerensen declare in a joint statement.
 
The family business Grimme, founded in 1861, is with more than 2,200 employees internationally active in more than 110 countries and counts among the leading suppliers of potato and sugar beet technology. By strengthening the partnership with ASA-LIFT, the Grimme group has in addition become a fullrange supplier of vegetable technology. In the town of Soroe, 80 km to the West of Copenhagen, more than 80 highly qualified ASA-LIFT employees develop and manufacture customised products. Their range comprises fully mounted, trailed and selfpropelled machines for more than 20 types of vegetables.
