Breaking news- early potato harvesting

The first potatoes of the year are already being harvested in Sweden, using a new Grimme-140 harvester. Arnold Ebbesen in Båstad in southern Sweden is harvesting the first new potatoes at the moment. The weather has also been warmer than normal this spring, but that is not the only reason. To grow early potatoes in Scandinavia, a high level of craftsmanship is needed, where timing and manual work is important.
Internally here at Grimme Skandinavien we have a small competition every year, amongst the service-technicians, about who is first coming home with potatoes harvested with a Grimme machine. It is a fight between nations, and we can now establish that the Swedish growers were first, both 2013 and 2014, Heine Hylleberg says.
Team Grimme Skandinavien wishes all our customers a good season, with a large harvest.
