Farmari 2013

The Farmari Fair in Seinajoki in Finland is one of the largest outdoor fairs in the Nordic region, receiving almost 100 000 visitors. The fair is held every other year, and at different locations, in order to focus on the farming in the different parts of the country.
Grimme Skandinavien and GR service is present on the fair with a 400 m2 stand, and this year several new machines are on display, among others the new 2-row bunker harvester Grimme SE-260. The machine has been well received by the Finish potato-farmers, and we have already sold a handful, says Roland Rosenback, Grimme Skandinaviens sales-represent in Finland.
In the Finish market, the sale is directly to the customer, without passing the dealers. This is a choice made in order not too loose information between the customer and the Grimme-factory in Germany, and also to secure a high level of expertise of the salesman. The strategy seems to be the right one as sales are steadily increasing and the wide program for storing of potatoes is also now part of the product range sold to the finish customers. Since Grimme Skandinavien took over the finish market two years ago, the big challenge has been to be closer to the customer, no matter where he lives. The close cooperation with GR service and Timo Myllyviita has been crucial in the process. Timo has a huge technical insight into the Grimme machines, and through his targeted sales efforts directly at the farms, Grimme has sold six times more original spare parts as before Grimme took over the finish market. – We have lowered the price on spare parts to the European level, Timo Myllyviita explains; and we do answer the phone around-the-clock, all year round.
