Focus on technical support

In order to free up expertise for technical support, Grimme Skandinavien is employing four new service technicians and a new foreman to coordinate our activities in the field and in the workshop.

As agricultural machines develop, they become larger and more complex, with advanced hydraulic systems adjusted and controlled electronically. They place great demands on the technicians who service the machines, and at the same time call for solid backup from manufacturers and suppliers.

To make sure we stay abreast of developments, Grimme Skandinavien have expanded and reorganised the team who set up and service both new and used machines.

A familiar face in a new role
Jens Ole Hejlesen, until now the Service Manager, is taking up a new position as Technical Manager. His job will be to serve both customers and service technicians with his extensive technical knowledge of products from Grimme.

He will also be the connecting link between sales and service, so that customers receive the optimum technical solution when they buy machines from Grimme Skandinavien.

In addition, Jens Ole Hejlesen will support Grimme Skandinavien’s service centres in Sweden and Finland, and the three Danish service centres, with technical know-how.

A new organiser
We have appointed John Trane to organise the service technicians in the workshop and with customers. Aged 48, he has previously worked as a service manager in the printing industry, where he knows all about tight deadlines. He will be assisted by 18 expert service technicians, who will both go out to customers and service machines in the workshop at Rødkærsbro. John can always see online where the eleven service vehicles are, and can therefore direct them quickly to a customer who needs assistance.

Focus on storage
Simon Abrahamsen, previously the foreman, will now see that when new or used machines leave the workshop, they are in the condition agreed upon and correctly equipped. At the same time, he will be responsible for Grimme’s wide range of machines for storage. They are often used in advanced processes at central potato stores and factories where operational reliability is vital.

Simon Abrahamsen has the professional qualifications and technical expertise to advise on optimal solutions and put together reliable systems.

“We expect that with the new structure, where we separate service orders from answering technical questions, customers will get a quicker response on the telephone, so we can give them the assistance they need.

Added to that, we have taken on two new service technicians from March 1st to strengthen our team,” says Michael Hylleberg, Managing Director of Grimme Skandinavien.
