Grimme AirSep: Golden medal at Agritechnica 2013
The new trash separator AirSep is honoured with Agritechnicas golden medal.
For those customers working in stony conditions, Grimme has developed the pneumatic trash separator "AirSep" to separate trash and wet clods from the harvested crop. The separator works very gently with an uplift concept. An airstream keeps the crop in a floating position and gently forwards it from the separator. Stones and clods sink to the ground and are separated through a stone flap. This enables a very gently separation similar to water systems but in conditions allowing dry storage of the harvested crop.
A two row potato harvester with brush type separators can achieve an output of 30 tons per hour. Harvesters fitted with the "AirSep" are able to reach an output of about 60 tons per hour and guaranteeing a high separation accuracy. Grimme will exhibit the new "AirSep" at the Agritechnica on the SV 260 trailed bunker harvester in Hall 25.
