Conference at Castle of Bäckaskogs in Skåne, Sweden

Grimme Skandinavien was invited to speak at a conference for onion growers at the Castle of Bäckaskogs outside Kristiansstad in Skåne.
The conference was arranged by HS Hushållningssällskapet in Kristianstad and Kalmar, and HIR Malmöhus. The participants came from all of southern Sweden, plus 3 consultants from the norwegian Board of Agri Culture.
Grimme Skandinavien, represented by Heine Hylleberg, had been invited to speak about the 5 phases of storing onions in general, and specifically how to store and dry onions sufficiently during a wet season such as 2011.
Further topics as stock types, pressure, vacuum and bulk were on the agenda. Mr Hylleberg introduced drawings of the new patented Vacc-Tek drying/cooling system produced by the danish firm Frigortek A/S. Vecc-Tek is a combination of dehumidifier, heater and cooler. The system is quaranteed to ensure you a good start to the storage season.
