Mechanical axle cleaning shaft

Within the framework of existing legislation to fight against potato cancer and potato cyst nematodes it is essential to remove soil and haulm from the axle of potato harvesters, with every change of fields in affected areas. This has to be done by the driver manually. The mechanical axle cleaning shaft in combination of the V-shaped axle cover for trailed and self-propelled potato harvesters greatly reduces this manual work. Up to 15 minutes saving can be achieved with this system with each change of field.

It is recommended to clean the machine generally before leaving the finished field to meet the growing hygiene requirements and prevent disease spreading. The mechanical axle cleaning shaft will be shown on the SE 260 2-row trailed bunker harvester at Agritechnica 2013 in Hall 25.
