Potato Day 2013

Thank you for coming to our Potato Day, Thursday the 24th of October. Especially thanks to Kjargaarden that let us use their field for the machine demonstration.

More than 700 visitors came to our demo, a record among our potato-days. We are apologizing for the long queue to the food, but luckily enough, the chef from “Kongenshus” had calculated well, so everyone got some.

A machine that got a lot of attention was the Potato Harvester Varitron 470, the first of its kind in Denmark.

Also the other new products and developments were in focus, ex. the potato-harvester Grimme SV-260. The machine shown was equipped with the patented MultiSep soil-cleaning system, that gently separate soil and small stones from the potatoes.

The Windrower Grimme RL-400 also got a lot of attention. The Windrower has been improved since last year, and is in use at Kjargaarden together with a Grimme SE-170-60. For Kjaargaarden this system increases the output of the potato harvester- so the 2-row harvester can harvest 6 rows at once.

All in all it was an exciting and interesting day in a perfect weather. See you all in a couple of years again!
